The growth of manufacture of machines and equipments during January-March 2008 has made 116,4% in comparison with January-March 2007. At the same time with priority rates the manufacturing of mechanical equipment was developing (126%), including the manufacturing of air compressors and gas powered compressors (169%); the manufacturing of steam (149,9%) and hydraulic turbines (132%), the manufacturing of industrial pipeline valves (143,9%).

Scientific & Industrial Valve Manufacturers Association (NPAA), founded in 1990, incorporates about 70 main design firms, pipeline valves and actuators manufacturers and suppliers from Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia and Kazakhstan.
NPAA Activities :
· Coordination of valve manufacturers activity;
· NPAA member’s interests representation in State authorities;
· Technical regulation in valve industry;
· Marketing and economic analysis in the valve industry;
· Preventive actions against counterfeiting goods turnover growth on valve and actuators market;
· Holding seminars, conferences;
· Organization and participation in exhibitions;
· Elaboration of Branch Technical Catalogues on Valves;
· Periodically edition of the inter-branch magazine Valve Industry.
NPAA has gained international recognition, when in 1993 became a member of European Committee for the Valve Industry (CEIR). Thus we obtain access to information of valve and actuators markets of Europe and USA; statistics, European countries economic reviews; participation in CEIR Product Committees and Technical Commissions activities, which cooperate closely with CEN, ISO, CENCER, ORGALIME and others. NPAA has strong relationship with CEIR General Secretariat and national valve manufacturers associations and participate in CEIR annual congresses.
During period of its existence the amount of NPAA members increased in 4 times. Annually about 7 new member firms join Association.
