At the invitation of Mr. Rick Faircloth - the head of the working group ISO/TC67/SC2/WG2 Petroleum and natural gas industries. Pipeline valves., NPAA Executive Director Ter-Mateosyants I.T. and manager of international relations Pakhomova E.R. took part in the meeting devoted to the discussion of amendments which were suggested for the third edition of the international standard ISO 14313 Petroleum and natural gas industries. Pipeline transportation systems. Pipeline valves. which is identical to API 6D standard.

     The second scheduled business trip to the foreign procuring factories organized by the NPAA Executive Directorate jointly with LLC Profiexpo was hold on 9 – 18 September.

     This time the delegates have visited Chinese casting and forging companies (Wenzhou,Suzhou, Ningbo, Shanghai) which produce blanks for pipeline valves and pumps.

     New standard ST NPAA 009-2008 Pipeline valves and actuators. Classification and notation system was implemented at LLC NPF MKT-ASDM.

     Scientific & Industrial Valve Manufacturers Association – a member of the European Committee for the Valve Industry (CEIR) and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia invite technical experts who are responsible for production and exploitation of pipeline valves to take part in educational courses:

     Development, forming and filling of a database of specialized electronic catalogue - List of testing laboratories is continuing according to the NPAA program on standardization in valve industry in 2011.

     The purpose of electronic list creation is to help members of association and other participants of pipeline valves market in a search of organizations which render services on testing of pipeline valves and actuators.

     The Fundamental standard of the NPAA - ST NPAA 001-2009 «Pipeline valves and actuators. Development, production, supply, exploitation, servicing, repair, utilization. General requirements to the subjects of market relations» is applied in the enterprise JSC IRKUTSKNIIHIMMASH by the order of General Director Kuznecov A.M. ¹ 147 dated 25.08.2011.

     The experts of NPAA Executive Directorate prepared a report on a topic: “Analyses of pipeline valves import to Russia in 2010”. The report contains 75 pages, 79 tables and 16 diagrams which clearly represent detailed information on pipeline valves supply volume to Russia in 2010. It is given segmentation by types and modes, nominal diameters and pressures, materials of main parts, companies – manufacturers and suppliers are indicated etc. The report is given to the NPAA members free of charge after a written inquiry, to other companies – on a contract basis. 

     The Fundamental standard of the NPAA - ST NPAA 001-2009 «Pipeline valves and actuators. Development, production, supply, exploitation, servicing, repair, utilization. General requirements to the subjects of market relations» is applied in the enterprise JSC NPO KURGANPRIBOR by the order of General Director Deryagin N.E. ¹ 156 dated 19.07.2011.

     The NPAA Board meeting was held on 19.07.11 at the office of JSC Moscow CKBA where current questions of the association were examined.

     The decision on the following companies expulsion from association was accepted for non-payment of membership fees:

- OJSC ABS ZEIM Automation (Cheboksary);

- OJSC Pilot boiler-and-turbine plant (St. Petersburg);

- JSC Kurgan factory of pipeline valves Ikar (Kurgan);

     At the same there are some new members in NPAA:

- JSC Armalit-1 (St. Petersburg);

- LLC CHETRA – Components and spare parts (Cheboksary);

- LLC NPF MKT-ASDM (Chelyabinsk).

NPAA and API (American Petroleum Institute) signed a license agreement on extension of the association’s rights to carry out translation of API standards officially, technical editing of translation and distribution of them among NPAA members.

The 9th International Forum PCVEXPO which gathered exhibitions: Valves, Pumps, Compressors. Pneumatic. Pneumatic tool, Actuators and engines, was held at the end of October in Moscow.

Scientific & Industrial Valve Manufacturers Association (NPAA) celebrated twentieth anniversary in St. Petersburg on 20 May 2010. There were more than 100 participants of the event among which: representatives of State Duma, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, branch unions and associations, consumers, partners, association members and guests from CIS countries and Europe.

     The coordinating meeting of the company Shtokman Development AG with the representatives of Russian industry and branch associations was held on 1 June, 2010 in Moscow. The next subject meeting of SDAG and NPAA technical experts is preliminarily planned to be held during the “NEFTEGAS” exhibition in Moscow.

     A scientific and technical conference devoted to technical re-equipment of Russian and CIS valves companies was held on 9-12 June, 2010 in Vicenza (Italy). The conference was organized by Russian Scientific & Industrial Valve Manufacturers Association (NPAA) together with a company TREVISAN MACCHINE UTENSILI S.P.A. (Italy).

     A company Shtokman Development AG together with the Russian Scientific & Industrial Valve Manufacturers Association (NPAA) have held a technical meeting with Russian valve manufacturers on 24 June 2010 in Moscow. More than 50 Russian companies were invited to the meeting, 20 of which are the members of NPAA.

According to NPAA working program a business trip to Turkey was held on 14 – 21 March, 2010 with the purpose of mutually beneficial cooperation development between Russian and Turkish valve companies.
